Marvdasht County

Marvdasht County (Persian: شهرستان مرودشت) is in Fars province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Marvdasht.[3]

History

After the 2006 National Census, the village of Kushkak rose to city status as Ramjerd, and Kamfiruz-e Shomali Rural District was separated from Kamfiruz District in the establishment of Kamfiruz-e Shomali District.[4] After the 2011 census, the village of Khaniman was elevated to the status of a city.

After the 2016 census, the villages of Faruq,[5] Fathabad,[6] and Zangiabad[7] became cities.

At the time of the 2006 census, the county's population was 294,621 in 69,244 households.[8] The following census in 2011 counted 307,492 people in 83,641 households.[9] The 2016 census measured the population of the county as 323,434 in 94,699 households.[2]
