History
editThe station opened in 1928 as a station of Nara Electric Railroad. In 1938, the station was moved 100 metres (330 ft) towards Yamato-Saidaiji, and became an elevated station. Nara Electric Railroad merged with Kintetsu in 1963. In 2007, the station started using PiTaPa.
