Alumni list

edit

As this page seems to get vandalised frequently, here are some notes on alumni:

Lil Rob “American Rapper” also went to Torrey Pines 2600:8801:BE10:8500:9067:186D:C068:7097 (talk) 07:01, 25 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Jon Foreman did not go to Torrey Pines, he went to San Dieguito Academy HS, another high school in the same district as Torrey Pines. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.195.70.17 (talk) 07:40, 2 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Is it possible that adding Devin Hennessy to the notable alumni list may violate [[1]]? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sbcalif (talkcontribs) 09:38, 19 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Shaun White did not go to Torrey Pines, he went to both Carlsbad High School and Carlsbad Seaside Academy — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.176.186.87 (talk) 23:01, 10 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

The footnote for him in the alumni-list says he went there. Do you have a reference so we can verify some other school instead? The entry in the article just says he "attended" for a year (you're commenting in response to a comment that is 4 years old--the actual live article looks a bit different), maybe he changed schools? Major revision

edit

I have done a total revision of the site, which consisted of mostly deleting duplicate and biased information. I also fixed up the infobox so it would be standard. I think the new layout will be more organized and easier to read. The sections are stubs, so we need to add more information to the sections. Please add citations to facts that get added. Also, Wikipedia is supposed to portray a neutral point of view, so please don't add objective statements saying how great the school is. Thanks! CompotatoJ 03:57, 15 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

I also added the Academics and Demographics section.Sbcalif 01:41, 10 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Double Sessions & Earl Warren Jr. High

edit

I don't remember any double sessions at Earl Warren Jr. High (what it was called back in the 70's. The only double sessions I know of were at San Dieguito High School. Most notable was the double session in the first half of the first school year for Torrey Pines due to construction delays. Perhaps a cite is needed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1700:C460:74B0:7C6C:165C:F096:6E25 (talk) 01:18, 20 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

New Ideas

edit

I'm interested in seeing what other people think this page needs. I'd like to see an expansion of Athletics, and the lead could be improved. User Arthurhh gave the page "start class" quality, question to all; what can be done to improve? Sbcalif (talk) 08:58, 19 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Also curious about opinion on the "preceded by" and the "succeeded by" boxes at the bottom of the page. How are those schools related and is this necessary? --Sbcalif (talk) 10:09, 19 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

The "Construction History" section needs grammatical revision. It sounds like it was written by a non-native English speaker, lacking plurals in a number of places. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gottmilk (talkcontribs) 09:20, 20 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Athletics

edit

Expanded the Athletics Section according to the November 30, 2007 issue of the Falconer. --Theemianworm 7:53, 22 December 2007 (PST)

Non primary reliable sources needed

edit

Encyclopedic content is based on reliable sources. Primary, involved sources are not appropriate, neither is unencyclopedic detail or puffery. - - MrBill3 (talk) 06:31, 20 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
