Plot
editInspired by the true story Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot. The film follows Donna & Reverend Maryin as they ignite a fire in the hearts of their rural church to embrace kids in foster care that no one else would take in. By doing the impossible--adopting 77 children-- this East Texas community proved that with determined love, the battle for America's most vulnerable can be won.

Production
editFilming took place in Macon, Georgia in the fall of 2022, with a budget of $8.5 million.[3] In February 2024, it was announced that Angel Studios acquired North American distribution rights to the film, adding the title Sound of Hope, to suggest a relation to last year’s immensely successful Sound of Freedom.[4] The film was funded entirely by donations so the majority of profit can go to children and families in crisis.[5][6][7]
