Industry is well developit. Minin an ferrous metallurgy are the backbone o the economy wi the lairgest copper refinery in Sooth Eastren Europe in Pirdop an important copper mines at Chelopech an Etropole. Machinery is well developit in Botevgrad (buses, caur components, electronics), Pravets (computers), Etropole, Samokov, Elin Pelin, Ihtiman, Slivnitsa, Godech.
