New Mexico State University

New Mexico State University is a four-year public university in the United States. It has five campuses,[1] but its main campus is in Las Cruces, New Mexico. In 2010, it had about 18,000 undergraduate students.[2]

History
changeThe school started in 1888. It was first called the Las Cruces College. Soon after, it changed its name to New Mexico College of Agriculture and Mechanical Arts. In 1960, its name was changed to New Mexico State University.[3]
Sports
changeNew Mexico State University's sports teams, called the Aggies, mainly play in Conference USA.
