Robert Frank
Swiss-American photographer and documentary filmmaker (1924-2019)
Robert Frank (November 9, 1924 – September 9, 2019) was a Swiss-American photographer and documentary filmmaker. His most notable work was the 1958 book titled The Americans. He was seen as a modern-day de Tocqueville.[1] Frank later expanded into movies and video and experimented with manipulating photographs and photomontage. He was born in Zürich.
Frank died on September 9, 2019 in Inverness, Nova Scotia at the age of 94.[2]
